Job summary

Larson Maddox is assisting a leading commodities trading firm recruiting a Legal Counsel to be based in Singapore. You will support the business on all legal matters in the region and work closely with stakeholders in trading, freight and support functions, addressing matters related to global physical commodities trading.

Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, providing commercially oriented legal advice, and supporting dispute resolution processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent and bar-qualified.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant law firm or in-house experience in commodities/metals/oil and gas.
• Prior experience in commodity trading or cross-border legal work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Provide legally sound, commercially oriented advice to internal stakeholders across trading, freight, and support functions.
• Support formal dispute resolution processes and contribute to trade and business development initiatives.
