A leading university in Singapore is seeking an experienced Leasing Manager to oversee tenancy operations and lease management. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance, developing leasing strategies, and supervising a leasing team. Candidates must have a degree in Real Estate Business or related fields with 7-8 years of experience in leasing administration. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
The Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services (OCAS) oversees the management of estate leases and commercial services (such as leasing of spaces for F&B, amenities & lifestyle services), and auxiliary services (such as car parks, shuttle bus services).
Leasing Manager (Tenancy & Operations) will play a key role in managing tenancy operations matters, including resolving operations and customer feedback on shops and food courts and managing on the ground inspection for compliance and housekeeping matters, marketing and leasing F&B and retail outlets, the Childcare Centre and other commercial spaces on NTU’s main campus and as and when assigned. In addition, this role is responsible for preparation of lease agreements, licence, service agreements, and for identifying the right tenants to meet the diverse needs of the NTU community. He/she will engage actively with other Offices in NTU as well as the student bodies to ensure service excellence.
While strategic planning and relationship-building remain important, this role places a strong emphasis on operational excellence and administrative rigour. The ideal candidate thrives in process-driven environments, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to following through on all aspects of lease management and compliance.
Oversee the full administrative portfolio lifecycle of leasing activities, including preparation, management, and renewal of lease agreements, licences, and service contracts and on all related financial and legal matters.
Supervise and maintain accuracy of the depository for leases and perform lease management and administration, ensuring timely renewals and adherence to all administrative processes.
Ensure tenants fulfil agreed lease terms and conditions through regular follow-up, site inspections, and resolution of audit findings.
Review tenancy fitting-out submissions and NTU term contractor works for operational compliance based on NTU standards and regulatory requirements.
Guide the team in consistently following up on outstanding matters, non-compliance, and operational issues, demonstrating a proactive approach to lease management and regulatory adherence.

Develop and implement leasing strategies to identify and attract suitable tenants for NTU’s offices, F&B, and retail outlets.
Lead the leasing team in reaching out to potential tenants, understanding their space requirements, and marketing available units.
Contribute strategically to trade‑mix planning for NTU campus, including conducting market research and site visits for interested tenants.
Promote good relationships with tenants by regularly meeting them and visiting leased premises to ensure compliance and satisfaction.
Supervise the leasing team on relevant leasing and payment processes for onboarding new and existing tenants.
Provide guidance and coordinate between the leasing team, operations team, and other internal stakeholders (such as Marcom and Facilities) to achieve positive outcomes in lease management.
Lead team members in resolving ground audit findings and guide operators in resolving matters collaboratively.
Monitor market trends, retail leasing practices, and industry innovations to identify and adopt best practices that enhance operational efficiency and support NTU’s branding.
Drive continuous improvement in Real Estate Management, contributing to NTU’s reputation as a vibrant and relevant university environment.
Degree in Real Estate Business, Building or related fields. Diploma holders with extensive relevant experience may be considered.
At least 7‑8 years of experience in leasing and lease administration, documentation and regulatory compliance, preferably in a diverse F&B, hospitality and event environment. Experience in supervisory capacity would be advantageous.
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with proven ability to manage complex processes and ensure timely, accurate completion of lease‑related activities.
Meticulous attention to detail in preparing agreements and maintaining high standards in lease management and tenant coordination.
Creative and analytical thinker, able to strategise rental structures, review key numbers, and contribute to trade mix planning and retail layout.
Effective communicator. Approachable, with strong verbal and written skills, and able to lead lease negotiations and tenancy‑related processes involving legal terms.
Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills, with the ability to resolve issues and recommend solutions.
Customer‑focused, with a deep understanding and appreciation of stakeholder needs in a university setting.
Comfortable with moving around the campus to address operational challenges and engage with tenants and stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
This position would be based at NTU’s main campus. Appointment may vary and commensurate with candidate’s prior work experience.
