Job summary

Epic Swim is seeking a Learn to Swim Coach who will guide children aged 3 and up through Learn to Swim and Swim PE classes. You will report to the General Manager and join a community of passionate coaches.

No prior coaching experience is required, as comprehensive training is provided. You will participate in regular workshops, support parents with progress updates, and help maintain the Epic Swim brand as a professional ambassador.

Qualifications

• No swim coaching experience required; training provided.
• Passion for sports and teaching young children.
• Ability to work well in a team and learn.
• Willing to attend in-house training and complete 52 hours of coaching attachment (paid).

Responsibilities

• Coach Learn to Swim students according to Epic Swim curriculum.
• Coach Swim PE students according to Epic Swim curriculum.
• Attend Epic Swim's in-house training and shadow senior coaches before coaching independently.
• Provide timely feedback to parents and record student progress.
• Attend workshops and courses to improve coaching skills.
• Fulfil administrative tasks: meet entries, attendance reports, student progress tracking, and workshop minutes.
• Maintain a professional image as an ambassador of the Epic Swim brand.
• Participate actively in our coaches community.

This is done through intense focus on curriculum, appropriate technology to complement learning and achieving, and training of professionals to guide learners and athletes.

Summary of position

We are looking for someone who is passionate about educating children through sports.

As a Learn to Swim Coach you will be required to coach Swim PE classes and Learn to Swim classes to children age 3 and above. You will report to the General Manager and be part of our passionate team and community of coaches.

Responsibilities

• Coach Learn to Swim students according our Epic Swim curriculum
• Coach Swim Physical Education students according our Epic Swim curriculum
• Attend Epic Swim's in-house training program and attach to senior coaches prior to coaching independently
• Provide timely feedback to parents on the progress of their child, and record student log
• Attend regular workshops and courses, and use the learnings to continuously improve coaching skills
• Fulfil administrative tasks related to the program; e.g. meet entries, attendance report, student performance tracking, and minutes of attended workshops
• Maintain a professional image as an ambassador of the Epic Swim brand
• Participate actively in our coaches community

Requirements

• No Swim Coaching Experience needed!
• Passion for sports. Swim experience preferred but not required as all training will be provided
• Passion for teaching young children with the ability to take care of them.
• Demonstrated team player with an open mindset to learning and improving
• Fluent in English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Required to attend Epic Swim's in-house training program and fulfill 52 hours of coaching practical attachment. Attachment hours will be paid.
