Job summary

GenScript Singapore is seeking a Lean Management Specialist to lead the planning and implementation of lean manufacturing in the gene synthesis/production department.

You will promote lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and SOPs in lab and production processes, analyze bottlenecks, and drive efficiency projects while collaborating with R&D, production, and supply chain for end-to-end optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
• Data analysis skills; proficient in Office, Visio, and related software; strong problem analysis and solving abilities.
• Planning, organizational, and coordination skills with clear logical thinking; results-oriented and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Lean Manufacturing in the gene synthesis/production department.
• Promote 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and SOPs in lab and production processes.
• Analyze bottlenecks and waste; lead efficiency improvement projects and reduce TAT; improve OEE and cost.
• Drive process standardization, modularization, and automation optimization.
• Identify problems and propose improvement plans; track results and promote continuous optimization.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, supply chain, and other teams for end-to-end optimization; support process design during new product/new process introductions.
• Organize training on lean tools; cultivate internal lean talent; promote lean concepts across the team.
• Provide operational support including claims administration, timesheet consolidation, records and documentation management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Comply with safety and confidentiality rules; perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.
