Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. in Singapore invites a student intern pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Materials, or Industrial Engineering to join a roadmap transformation project focused on SQDC operational excellence.

You will learn Lean tools and contribute to data-driven problem solving. You will support data collection, help facilitate cross-functional discussions, and gain exposure to power generation repair workshops and advanced automation technologies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Material and/or Industrial Engineering.
• Competent with MS Office applications.
• Inclusive mindset with the courage to drive change.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead a roadmap transformation project for SQDC operational excellence.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions, problem solving and idea generation for project implementation.
• Learn and apply Lean manufacturing tools to drive positive business impact.
• Support data collection and apply data-driven analysis to solve problems.
• Gain exposure to power generation repair workshops and advanced repair technologies/automation.
• Participate in organizational activities such as Lean Kaizen Action Work Out.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Co-lead one of the roadmap transformation project for SQDC operational excellence.
• Facilitate cross functional discussion, problem solving and idea generation to enable successful project implementation.
• Opportunity to learn and execute Lean manufacturing tools and make positive impact to the business.
• Support in data collection and learn to apply data-driven analytical approach to problem solving.
• Exposure to power generation repair workshop, as well as advanced repair technologies and automations.
• Part of organizing committee and participating in 5-days Shingijutsu or Lean Kaizen Action Work Out.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Material and/or Industrial Engineering
• Competent with MS Office applications
• Being inclusive and having the imagination and courage to make changes
• Possess good communication skills
