Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a technically driven Senior System Engineer to join our Technical Support team in Singapore. You will provide expert technical assistance across our products, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Sales, Professional Services and Technology teams to resolve issues within SLA.

You will diagnose complex incidents, host transfers, and lead project handovers while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant Linux OS (CentOS) experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills supporting external customers and projects.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, DHCP, RADIUS, SMTP, SNMP, networking and 802.1X.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL/MariaDB, Apache/Nginx, Pacemaker/Heartbeat/DRBD.
• Experience with AWS, KVM/VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with Ansible and Bash scripting; basic PHP/Perl knowledge is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Wireshark, ELK, and Speedtest is preferred.
• Experience with server hardware maintenance and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Senior System Engineer for assigned solution projects, taking ownership of technical support and service continuity.
• Understand the technical scope, architecture, and operating environment of existing projects and provide ongoing customer support.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and restore customer services within SLA, remotely and onsite.
• Travel to customer sites when required to provide technical support and implementation assistance.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to new team members and customers.
• Take ownership of upcoming projects transitioned from the Solution Team for effective ongoing support.
• Work with internal teams to ensure smooth handover, readiness, and customer success.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for the Service Desk / L1 Support.
• Troubleshoot cloud platforms, gateway products, and related infrastructure for issues.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents within SLA, and escalate complex issues with technical details.
• Develop, execute, and validate MOPs for remote and onsite maintenance activities.
• Verify service availability after maintenance, troubleshooting or recovery.
• Inform customers of product updates, patches, and maintenance requirements; coordinate patches.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and project databases.
• Maintain and perform basic ops on OPS and NMS platforms.
• Participate in a weekly rotational on-call standby schedule.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and procedures.
