Job summary

Dyson’s Test & Quality Assurance team in Singapore focuses on world‑class engineering and automated testing across the product lifecycle, including AI/ML features and IoT systems. We design robust test strategies, develop Python-based automation, and collaborate with partners to ensure product quality.

The role involves leading test plans, executing comprehensive test cases, and delivering clear test reports while maintaining secure SDLC practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML and testing across multi-layered datasets.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Attention to detail, communication and technical leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid knowledge of Agile software engineering and secure SDLC.
• Experience testing software for IoT products, including embedded software, cloud services, and data analytics.
• Familiarity with robot vacuum-related technologies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deploy advanced software and electronics testing solutions to verify requirements.
• Lead test strategies and plans, and oversee execution across robot behaviours and AI/ML features.
• Design and execute test cases for security, compatibility, and performance to meet regulations.
• Analyse test results, perform statistics, interpret data, and present findings.
• Build and maintain software test environments for automated and manual testing.
• Develop automated test cases using Python.
• Participate in project meetings and Scrum ceremonies to support delivery.
• Identify test-related issues and design effective solutions.
• Manage testing with JDM partners to ensure deliverables are met.

About The Role

• Deploy advanced software and electronics testing solutions to enable efficient verification and validation of requirements.
• Develop and lead comprehensive test strategies & plans, and oversee their execution across robot behaviours and other AI/ML-enabled intelligent features.
• Design and execute test cases based on functional and quality requirements, including software security, compatibility, and product performance, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Analyse test results, perform statistical analysis, interpret data to improve system performance, and present findings in clear test reports.
• Build and maintain software test environments that support both automated and manual testing.
• Develop automated test cases using Python.
• Participate in project meetings and Scrum ceremonies to support the delivery of high‑quality software.
• Identify test‑related technical issues and design effective solutions to resolve them.
• Manage and align testing activities with JDM partners to ensure project deliverables are met.

About You

• A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML and relevant testing experience, including solving complex challenges involving multi‑layered datasets and enhancing existing automation libraries and frameworks.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication and technical leadership skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of Agile software engineering, software testing, and the secure software development lifecycle.
• Experience testing software for IoT products, including embedded software, mobile applications, cloud services, and data analytics.
• Familiarity with software quality assurance principles and relevant techniques and tools.
• Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge or experience with robot vacuum cleaner would be advantageous.
