Job summary

HSBC Life (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. seeks a Lead, Sustainability, CSR and Philanthropy to shape and drive a comprehensive ESG and philanthropic agenda in Singapore. You will oversee strategies, policies, and employee programs that integrate sustainability across operations and decision-making.

You will collaborate on CSR initiatives, partner with nonprofits, and assess outcomes to continuously improve impact. This role requires strategic vision and strong stakeholder leadership within a global bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• Experience in Sustainability, ESG, CSR, and/or philanthropy, preferably in financial services.
• Strong understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a matrix organization.
• Proven project management experience with strong organizational skills.
• Passion for sustainability and CSR with drive to influence positive change.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Lead, Sustainability, CSR and Philanthropy.

In this role you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability, csr and philanthropic strategy for HSBC Life Singapore.
• Ensure policies, sustainability statements, and practices are consistent and in line with HSBC Group and HSBC Global Insurance standards.
• Foster a culture of sustainability through employee engagement programs that integrates sustainabilityinto business operations and decision-making.
• Lead and collaborate on sustainability projects / initiatives (e.g. carbon offsetting) that would allow us to support our carbon reduction goals.
• Lead corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to enhance community engagement and stakeholder relations.
• Build partnerships with nonprofit organizations and other stakeholders to bolster philanthropic efforts and community impact.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of sustainability initiatives to measure effectiveness and areas for improvement.
• Educate and engage employees on sustainability practices and the importance of Sustainability/ESG principles within the corporate culture.

To be successful you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• Relevant experience in Sustainability, ESG, CSR, &/or philanthropy, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability standards;Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive change and foster a culture of sustainability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across a matrix organization.
• Proven experience in project management, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for sustainability and corporate social responsibility, with a drive to influence positive change within the organization and the community.
