HSBC Life (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a high-calibre Vice President, Client Management to lead the health portfolio with emphasis on profitable growth and broker relationships. Hybrid work arrangement and a dynamic, regulated environment are part of the role.

You will drive underwriting excellence, manage international broker relations, and mentor junior underwriters while delivering timely quotations and client service. This is a senior leadership position within HSBC Life in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in health space and managing brokers.
• University degree with HI, M5 or M9 insurance papers.
• Underwriting, Key Account Manager and intermediary relationship management.
• Meticulous, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior analytical, communication, interpersonal skills and business acumen.

Responsabilités

• Be responsible for profitable growth in the health portfolio in line with targets.
• Underwrite business cases in accordance with underwriting guidelines for profitability.
• Identify and mitigate insurance risk; comply with guidelines; maintain audit-ready docs.
• Prepare new business and renewal quotations within turnaround times; respond promptly.
• Develop and refine processes, service levels, underwriting guidelines and policy wording; deliver reporting.
• Coach and mentor 1 or 2 junior underwriters.
• Manage relationships with key international brokers to grow client portfolio.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow profitable health business and portfolio.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Client Management.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for profitable growth in the health portfolio in line with top line and bottom-line business targets
• Responsible for underwriting business cases in accordance with established underwriting guidelines to achieve overall portfolio profitability
• Identifying and taking actions to mitigate any insurance risk; Ongoing compliance with external and internal guidelines, and maintaining supporting documentation to satisfy audit requirements
• Prepare new business and renewal quotations within turnaround times; Provide timely and quality responses to internal and external customers.
• Ongoing contribution to developing and refining existing processes, service levels, underwriting guidelines and policy contract wording; Delivering reporting for monitoring of portfolio and service levels
• Coach and mentor 1 or 2 Junior underwriters
• Managing relationships with key international brokers to growth client portfolio
• Developing and executing strategies to grow profitable businesses and retain a healthy health portfolio.

To be successful you will need:

• Relevant experience in the health space and managing brokers
• University degree with relevant insurance papers (HI, M5, M9)
• Underwriting skills, Key Account Manager skills, and customer/intermediary relationship management
• Meticulous, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Superior analytical skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and strong business acumen
