Job summary

Standard Chartered Bank is seeking a senior desk trader to execute and manage profitable strategies in rates products within Asia-focused markets. You will work with Sales, Structuring and other trading teams to optimize revenues while controlling risk.

The role requires a strong quantitative background, experience in pricing and hedging interest rate derivatives, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced,Regulated environment across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

Experience in trading structured rates products, preferably in Asia.
Strong quantitative background in financial mathematics and risk management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Implement the desk strategy for profitable trading with acceptable risk.
Partner with Sales, Structuring and trading teams to maximise revenues and meet yearly budgets.
Provide accurate pricing for interest rate derivatives to internal and external clients.
Transact trades to hedge risk and capitalise on market opportunities.
Expand product offering by testing and implementing new trading models.
Maintain risk within approved limits and seek approvals when required.
