Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own and operate the APAC network and infrastructure as Nebius expands in the region. This hands-on role will define reliability targets, write automation, and directly handle incidents, with plans to build and lead the local SRE team as the region grows.

You will work closely with APAC and Europe teams to embed operability into designs, develop observability, and drive incident learning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SRE / infrastructure engineering with leadership experience.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and debugging skills.
• Solid networking basics and understanding of real networks.
• Hands-on with high-availability systems and ongoing improvements.
• Proficient in software automation (Go or Python).
• Experience with modern infrastructure tooling (IaC, CI/CD) and automation of workflows.
• Ability to work independently in a early-stage environment and build a team from scratch.
• Willingness to stay hands-on while leading a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Define reliability goals for network services and critical APAC paths (SLIs/SLOs, availability, error budgets).
• Drive reliability improvements across APAC network including data centers and inter-site connectivity.
• Own incident response, conduct postmortems, and implement durable fixes; manage on-call practices.
• Build and evolve observability with metrics, logs, traces, alerts for faster debugging.
• Design safer change workflows: automation, CI/CD, canaries, rollbacks, audits.
• Collaborate with APAC and Europe teams to embed operability in designs.
• Hire, onboard and mentor initial APAC SREs and set engineering standards.
• Coordinate handoffs and coverage with Europe teams.
