Job summary

Nebius Group is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to build scalable tooling that connects the network layer with the cloud platform. You will write code hands-on, drive architectural decisions, and grow a regional engineering team as we launch data centers in APAC.

You will mentor engineers, establish coding standards, and own end-to-end delivery across regions while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with leadership experience.
• Strong coding skills and ownership mindset to ship and operate reliable services.
• Proficiency in Go or willingness to switch; Python is welcome.
• Ability to work autonomously in an early-stage environment and build processes from scratch.
• Willingness to stay hands-on while leading and growing a team.
• You don’t have to be a network expert, but interest in infrastructure is expected.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain services that automate the network lifecycle (provisioning, changes, drift detection).
• Make network changes safe and transparent with CI/CD workflows and audit trails.
• Develop observability systems that scale across multiple sites.
• Close gaps between network and platform by integrating data and exposing APIs.
• Own architecture decisions for APAC and align with European teams.
• Collaborate with network engineers and SREs to turn operational pain into tooling.
• Hire and onboard the first regional engineers and set engineering standards.
