Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer for APAC to build and run the core reliability fabric of our APAC region. This hands-on role involves defining targets, writing automation, and handling incidents with independence from Europe.

You will grow and lead the local SRE team as the region expands, aligning with global standards and fast-moving AI infrastructure goals. You will own reliability metrics, drive improvements across network and data centers, and collaborate with engineers

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SRE / infrastructure engineering with leadership experience.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and a structured approach to debugging complex systems.
• Solid understanding of networking basics and failure domains.
• Hands-on experience operating high-availability systems and improving them.
• Ability to write and maintain automation (Go preferred; Python acceptable).
• Experience with modern infrastructure tooling (IaC, CI/CD, containers) and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define reliability goals for network services and critical paths in APAC (SLIs/SLOs, availability, error budgets).
• Drive reliability improvements across APAC network including data centers and inter-site connectivity.
• Own incident response, lead investigations and postmortems, implement durable fixes and on-call practices.
• Build and evolve observability with metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and faster debugging loops.
• Design safe change workflows with automation, CI/CD, test/staging, canaries, rollbacks, auditability.
• Collaborate with APAC and Europe teams to embed operability into designs and enable fast operations.
• Hire, onboard and mentor the first SREs in the region and set engineering standards.
• Coordinate with European teams on handoffs and coverage across time zones.
