Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect to guide customers in building big data solutions on Databricks across diverse use cases. This customer-facing role supports Solution Architects, requiring hands-on production experience with cloud infrastructure and big data technologies, reporting to the Specialist Field Engineering Manager.

You will lead technical design, architect production workloads, assist in PoCs and workload sizing, and contribute to training and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS / IS / Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Hands-on production experience with cloud infrastructure and big data technologies (Spark).
• Experience designing cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, or GCP with security best practices.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM.
• Pre-/post-sales experience with external clients across various industries.
• Ability to design secure, scalable, production-grade cloud data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers to successful implementations on big data projects.
• Architect production-level workloads and end-to-end pipeline performance.
• Provide technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and security for the Databricks Platform.
• Assist Solution Architects with PoCs, workload sizing, and custom architectures.
• Improve community adoption through tutorials, training, and hackathons; act as SME.
