Job summary

BAH Partners Limited is expanding its Singapore engineering team to hire a hands-on Lead Software Engineer. You will drive the design and development of next-generation trade processing and operations platforms with approximately 95% greenfield development.

This is a highly technical leadership role offering ownership of architecture, system design and delivery, and collaboration with global teams across trading and operations.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with expertise in Java, C#, Rust, C++ or Python.
• Proven track record designing and building complex applications or platforms, ideally greenfield.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, AWS SNS/SQS).
• Hands-on cloud experience, preferably AWS; Azure or GCP also considered.

• Lead design and development of distributed, high-performance applications for trade processing and post-trade workflows.

An established global multi-strategy hedge fund is expanding its Singapore engineering team and looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and development of its next-generation trade processing and operations technology platforms.

This is a highly technical leadership opportunity, offering significant ownership of architecture, system design and engineering delivery. With approximately 95% greenfield development, the successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable, resilient, event-driven platforms supporting the firm's global investment operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the design and development of distributed, high-performance applications supporting trade processing, post-trade workflows, fee calculations and cash flows.
• Architect and build scalable, cloud-native platforms using modern backend technologies and event-driven architecture.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to a small engineering team, driving architectural decisions, code quality and engineering best practices.
• Develop new services and enhance existing platforms using technologies including Rust, C#/.NET, AWS and Kafka.
• Collaborate closely with global engineering, trading and operations teams to deliver business-critical technology solutions.
• Take ownership of major greenfield projects, from initial architecture and design through development and production delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering background in Java, C#, Rust, C++ or Python, with excellent understanding of software design and distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing and building complex applications or platforms, ideally within a greenfield environment.
• Strong event-driven architecture experience, using Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, AWS SNS/SQS or similar messaging technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, although Azure or GCP experience is also considered.
• Experience within financial services, ideally investment banking, hedge funds, asset management or trading technology.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle, post-trade processing, middle-office systems or investment operations would be advantageous.
