We are seeking highly skilled Lead Software Engineer based in Singapore to drive the design and development of automation and machine control software for semiconductor equipment. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role, responsible for both writing high‑quality C# software and guiding a team of engineers building control systems that directly interface with precision manufacturing hardware. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience in industrial automation, motion control, and real‑time systems.

Your job will comprise:

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance C# software components for machine and subsystem control within complex systems.
• Be part of a Kanban team delivering high-quality, maintainable software.
• Review and improve code quality through thorough code reviews and mentoring of other developers.
• Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve complex software and system issues.
• Integrate software with hardware and control systems, ensuring efficient, and reliable machine operations.
• Define and implement best practices in software design, testing, and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for software processes, performance, and usability.

Ideal Profile:

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 7+ years of hands‑on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem, with at least 2–3 years in a technical lead or senior engineering role.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented design principles and scalable architecture.
• Proven experience developing machine control, automation, or equipment software in a semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or high‑tech industrial environment.
• Proficient with multi‑threaded and asynchronous programming
• Skilled in unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with version control (Git) and modern DevOps practices.
• Affinity with hardware and physical systems is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior/mid‑level engineers.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with SEMI standards (e.g., SECS/GEM) commonly used in semiconductor equipment communication.
• Prior experience working directly with semiconductor fabs, OEMs, or equipment manufacturers.
