SILITH TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Photonic Chip Design Engineer to lead the design and optimization of silicon photonic ICs in Singapore.

You will handle layout, device architectures, and tape-out coordination while collaborating with foundries and R&D teams. The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and strong proficiency with photonic EDA tools, aiming to accelerate high-performance optical component development for next-generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in photonics, optoelectronics, or semiconductor physics (Master’s candidates with industry experience considered).
• 5+ years of industrial experience in photonic chip design, layout, and process integration preferred.
• Skilled in simulation tools (Lumerical, Phoenix) and TCAD platforms (Sentaurus, Silvaco).
• Proficient in layout design using IPKISS or equivalent photonic EDA tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and optimize silicon photonic chips, including layout and performance modeling.
• Develop photonic device architectures such as GeSi photodetectors, MZIs, VOAs, and waveguide splitters.
• Collaborate with foundries on tape-out execution and fabrication process integration.
• Support experimental testing by analyzing results, refining designs, and validating performance metrics.
• Build and maintain PDKs to streamline the development cycle.
