Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking an experienced software test framework lead to drive the design and development of testing infrastructure for robot vacuum firmware and cloud services. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software test framework or test infrastructure development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for test framework development.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns and principles, and concurrent programming.
• Experience designing vision-based systems and developing object-tracking solutions.
• Solid understanding of electronic hardware and its interfaces with software systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive and cross-team communication.
• Knowledge of IoT architectures including embedded software, cloud services and ML.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of test frameworks for validating firmware and cloud integration.
• Develop vision-based testing frameworks to assess robot behaviour and capture data for debugging.
• Create data pipelines transforming test logs into actionable insights.
• Build a leading quality dashboard with early indicators of software/hardware quality.
• Drive AI/ML and advanced data analytics to improve detection reliability and efficiency.
• Serve as technical authority within QA, aligning testing across product lifecycle.
