Job summary

HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) in Singapore seeks a robotics and embodied AI engineer to design robot planners, integrate AI with hardware, and advance autonomous task execution for public safety applications.

You will develop robot perception, reinforcement learning, and model deployment; optimize embodied AI systems using simulation tools like Isaac Sim and MuJoCo; deploy and test on physical robots under real-world constraints.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Education in engineering or related fields; postgraduate degree a plus.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in robotics or AI.
• Strong background in ML, RL, CV, sensor fusion, and robotics simulation (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo).

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for robot perception, real-time data processing and decision making.
• Implement ML models (reinforcement learning or imitation learning) for task-specific robots.
• Ground embodied AI systems for robust real-world reasoning and actions.
• Design and integrate AI models with robotic hardware (sensors, actuators, control).
• Develop and fine-tune robot planners to translate plans into motions and controls.
• Ensure embodied AI systems respect hardware constraints and adapt to dynamic environments.
• Deploy AI models on physical robots across platforms and scenarios.
• Monitor performance in real-world settings and iterate improvements.
