Job summary

RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Lead Repair Development Engineer (Joining Technology) to develop, industrialize, and support advanced joining processes for gas turbine component repairs.

You will focus on process development, validation, tech transfer, and continuous improvement with global engineering and manufacturing teams. You will lead projects, create validation plans for laser cladding, welding and brazing, and drive qualification of repair processes across global

Qualifications

• Degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years specializing in joining technologies.
• Strong expertise in laser cladding, superalloy welding, brazing metallurgy, and CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial gas turbine repair processes, including thermal spray coatings, machining, sealing, and surface finishing.
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10%) as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new manufacturing and repair technologies to support component repair strategies and new product introduction (NPI).
• Create and execute validation plans for repair materials and laser cladding technologies.
• Support the industrialization and qualification of repair processes across global repair service centres.
• Design, evaluate, and implement engineering solutions in accordance with business and technical requirements.
• Monitor project progress and communicate technical updates, risks, and key milestones.
• Provide technical leadership and support for global repair process implementation.
