Job summary

Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing/Joining Engineer in Singapore to develop and validate laser cladding processes, oversee repair strategies, and drive NPI for components. You will collaborate with repair centers and engineering teams to ensure compliant, high-quality procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Welding/Materials/Manufacturing or allied field, 8+ years in manufacturing with 5+ years in joining, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in joining processes.
• Demonstrate understanding of laser cladding, superalloy welding and brazing metallurgy, plus NC machinery experience.
• Knowledge of industrial gas turbine components and processes is advantageous.
• Strong team player with ability to collaborate with internal/external customers.
• Lean methodology understanding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel at least 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop new manufacturing and repair process technology to support component teams for repair strategies or factory NPI.
• Create a validation plan for repair materials and laser cladding processes with New Repair Introduction engineers.
• Ensure transfer and qualification of repair service centers for procedures.
• Execute design/analysis/evaluation of projects per engineering standards and product requirements.
• Monitor and communicate project status and significant developments.
• Maintain knowledge of joining processes (welding/brazing) for diverse challenges and app selection.
• Document technical data per policies.
• Provide continuous improvement across the repair network.
• Collaborate with supply chain and other teams to identify improvement opportunities.
