Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Principal R&D/Product Development Engineer to lead signal integrity design and validation across product development cycles. You will collaborate with front teams and customers to define performance requirements and drive simulations for high-speed interfaces.

You will also mentor engineers, contribute to IP positions, and push innovations in test tools and methodologies while working in a global environment across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in electrical design, RF design or PCB design.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and circuit behavior.
• Expertise with signal integrity analysis tools (e.g., Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, CST).
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (SpaceClaim, AutoCAD, Creo).
• Experience with high-speed test equipment (VNA, TDR, BERT).
• Experience with interconnect design and high-speed connectors.
• Fluent in English; able to work globally across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation and validation activities through product development cycles.
• Establishing signal integrity design performance/functional requirements for new products by engaging with front teams and customers.
• Performing signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product.
• Driving product development for business success.
• Engaging in innovative simulation and test tool improvement and process enhancement.
• Driving best practices and efficiency in connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint.
• Mentor and teach engineers across disciplines; write and present technical papers.
• Analyze competitive products and contribute to IP positions.
