Job summary

Sol Luminaire Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is expanding and seeks a Lead Procurement and Purchaser to manage procurement, purchasing, inventory control, and logistics coordination, supporting daily operations.

You will source lighting products locally and overseas, negotiate terms, manage POs, oversee ERP data, and ensure on-time delivery for projects and custom orders. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of relevant experience in lighting or related industries and are independent, detail‑oriented team

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant procurement and purchasing experience.
• Experience sourcing local and overseas suppliers with price and terms negotiation.
• Familiar with customised, made-to-order and project-based procurement.
• Strong order follow-up, supplier coordination and overseas logistics with attention to detail.
• Independent, hands-on and organised, able to manage multiple orders in a fast-paced SME.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Purchasing: Manage day-to-day activities, source products, obtain quotations, negotiate terms, manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Existing & Customised Orders: Manage procurement for repeat and project orders, coordinate product specs, samples and customisation, ensure timelines.
• Supplier Management: Maintain supplier relationships, evaluate new suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, monitor performance and resolve issues.
• Inventory & ERP Management: Monitor stock levels, set up new products/SKUs, maintain accurate ERP data and purchasing records.
• Logistics & Shipping: Coordinate local and overseas shipments, liaise with freight forwarders, track status and resolve delays.
• Internal Coordination: Work with Sales, Operations and Finance to align purchasing with customer/project needs and timelines.

Sol Luminaire, an architectural lighting studio founded in Singapore, is expanding.
Join us as a Lead Procurement and Purchaser to manage procurement, purchasing, inventory control, logistics coordination and support our daily operations.

Responsibilities:

Procurement & Purchasing

• Manage day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities

• Source lighting products and related items from local and overseas suppliers

• Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms and other commercial terms

• Manage purchase orders and follow up on outstanding orders

• Ensure products are purchased at competitive prices and delivered according to agreed timelines

Existing & Customised Orders

• Manage procurement for existing, repeat and project orders

• Source products according to customer and project requirements

• Coordinate with suppliers on product specifications, finishes, samples and customisation

• Follow up closely on customised orders to ensure specifications, production and delivery timelines are met

• Ensure order details are accurately communicated to suppliers before production

Supplier Management

• Maintain good working relationships with existing suppliers

• Identify and evaluate new suppliers and products where required

• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, payment terms and delivery

• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on quality, production and delivery issues

• Resolve supplier-related issues promptly

Inventory & ERP Management

• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing requirements to ensure adequate stock availability

• Maintain proper inventory controls and minimise overstocking and stock shortages

• Monitor stock movement and coordinate replenishment where required

• Set up new products, SKUs and relevant product information in the ERP system

• Ensure product descriptions, specifications, pricing, supplier details and other relevant information are accurately maintained in the ERP system

• Ensure purchasing and inventory records are accurate and up to date

Logistics & Shipping

• Coordinate local and overseas logistics, including shipments to and from Singapore

• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics partners

• Track production and shipment status and follow up on delivery schedules

• Ensure shipping and delivery documents are properly arranged

• Resolve issues relating to shipment delays, shortages, damaged or incorrect deliveries

Internal Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, Operations and Finance on purchasing requirements

• Keep relevant teams updated on order, production and delivery status

• Coordinate purchasing and delivery timelines to support customer and project requirements

• Follow up closely on urgent or time-sensitive orders

The Ideal Candidate:

• 4–6 years of relevant procurement and/or purchasing experience, preferably in lighting, furniture, sanitaryware, tiles, electrical products or similar industries

• Experienced in sourcing and managing local and overseas suppliers, including price and terms negotiation

• Familiar with customised, made‑to‑order and project‑based procurement

• Strong in order follow‑up, supplier coordination and overseas logistics, with good attention to detail

• Independent, hands‑on and organised, with the ability to manage multiple orders and work well in a fast‑paced SME environment
