Job summary

LITEON SINGAPORE is seeking a seasoned leader to join our Cloud Infrastructure Platform and Solutions (CIPS) Research Team. The role focuses on early-stage research projects, collaborating with universities, suppliers, customers and partners to deliver proof-of-concept designs.

You will drive multiple projects, mentor engineers, oversee resource planning, and contribute to the strategic direction of power electronics research for data storage and AI cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of power electronics research experience.
• At least 3 years in leadership or team-leading roles.
• Strong hardware design and power electronics architecture knowledge.
• Hands-on prototyping, testing with oscilloscopes, loads, and analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Define research strategy and product roadmap by monitoring market trends.
• Drive multiple projects ensuring technical direction and on-time delivery.
• Lead and mentor engineers with goal setting and reviews.
• Identify skills needs and assist in recruiting engineers.
• Prioritise projects and allocate engineering resources.
• Maintain commitment to continuous improvement, transparency and technical excellence.
• Review designs and docs to guide projects to success.
• Act as hands-on contributor researching topics and delivering designs.
• Manage collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, customers and research institutions.
