Job summary

ATLAS in Singapore is seeking an accomplished Sous Chef - Pastry to lead our pastry team. You will take ownership of the Pastry section, driving quality across Afternoon Tea, plated desserts and baking while mentoring up to six chefs.

You will work hands-on with the team, set high standards, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and seasonal refinements. The role requires leadership, passion for pastry, and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong pastry expertise in a high-end setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to train and inspire junior chefs.
• Capable of managing high-volume production and strict standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pastry section and inspire the pastry team.
• Plan production for Afternoon Tea, desserts, events and baking.
• Train and mentor junior chefs with clear direction.
• Lead from the front during prep and service, hands-on as needed.
• Collaborate on menu development and seasonal refinement.
• Manage ordering, stock, wastage and cost awareness.
• Maintain mise en place, cleanliness, food safety and labeling.
• Build a disciplined team culture with accountability and growth.
