Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Design Engineer in Singapore to simulate and analyze SI and PI of optical transceivers using advanced simulation tools. You will verify performance, identify issues, and develop solutions in collaboration with a team of engineers.

The role requires a strong background in SI/PI theory, high-speed data transmission, and fiber optics, with hands-on experience using HFSS/ANSYS and EM tools. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with SI/PI simulation and analysis.
• Experience with high-speed data transmission and fiber optics.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (e.g., VNA, TDR).

Responsibilities

• Simulate and analyze signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) of optical transceivers.
• Utilize simulation software to model transmission lines and components.
• Identify potential SI/PI issues, such as reflections, crosstalk, and noise.
• Develop and implement solutions to address SI/PI problems.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure the transceiver meets all performance requirements.
• Document and report simulation results.
