Job summary

Network for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte Ltd. is seeking a Network Engineer to develop and maintain secure, scalable networks for NETS products and services. You will mentor a team of engineers and coordinate with stakeholders to design and implement robust network solutions.

The role requires hands-on expertise in multi-vendor devices, WAN/LAN, VPNs and security architecture, with a readiness to be on 24/7 standby on a roster.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a network engineering role in a medium to large org.
• CheckPoint or Palo Alto firewall certification preferred.
• CCNP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, IP addressing, routing and security.
• Experience with multi-vendor network devices and network security.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administrate multi-vendor network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, DNS).
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure (SD-WAN, MPLS, VPNs).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design effective network solutions.
• Follow change management policies for configurations.
• Provide POC designs and hand over to Application Support teams.
• Track end-of-life hardware/software refreshes.
• Maintain IT processes and documentation.
• Be on 24/7 standby on a rotational basis.

The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for supporting various NETS products and services.

You should have excellent problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge of Network administration and architecture to excel in the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Experienced in implementing and administrating multi-vendor network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers and DNS appliances.
• Implement and Support Network LAN/WAN infrastructure (SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN-Tunnels, ISP and ISDN).
• Work with various stakeholders within and across the organization on analyzing the requirements for Network infrastructure, VOIP/Desktop/Video connectivity to design & create effective Network Solutions.
• Implement configurations in accordance to the organization’s change management policies and procedures.
• Design network related proof of concepts and configuration to Application Support teams for implementation.
• Track the refresh of End-of-Life Network related hardware/software solutions and platforms
• Support the maintenance of processes and documentations for the IT teams.
• Able to be on 24/7 standby roster on a rotational basis within the team.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or relevant technology disciplines, with at least 4 years of working experience in Network engineering role in a medium to large sized organization
• Certified in CheckPoint or Palo Alto for Firewall domain is preferred.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred.
• Strong domain knowledge in general protocols and technologies: VLANs, L2 protocols (CDP, UDLD, etc.), trunking, etherchannels, vPC, 802.1D STP and flavors, FHRPs, WLAN, IP Addressing & subnetting, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, Static routing, IPSec VPN, ACL, NAT, SSL, DNS, IPv6, L7 Load balancing.
• Familiar with Cisco ACI , Cisco routers and switches (Nexus and Catalyst), Checkpoint, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• In-depth understanding of IT Infrastructure; network & server system monitoring, change and configuration management
• Prior experience in implementation of large scale Network solutions in the payment industry would be highly advantageous
