Lead MEP Quantity Surveyor (Cost & QS)

Job summary

JLL in Singapore is hiring an Associate (QS) MEP to lead the quantity surveying team on major projects, including data centre and healthcare sectors. You will oversee cost control, tendering, pre/post-contract activities and liaise with clients to deliver high-value outcomes while mentoring junior surveyors.

You will drive efficiency, ensure budgets are met, and contribute to business growth in a dynamic, digitized environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a relevant field with at least ten years’ experience in a similar Cost Consultancy position.
• RICS / AAIQS / SISV qualifications preferred.
• Experience in pre-construction and construction phase projects.
• Experience in a QS Consultancy firm advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Great sense of urgency for solving problems and pursuing new markets with strategic thinking.
• Excellent organisational skills with a structured approach.
• Tech-savvy and able to lead in a digitized project management environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a QS team and drive cost consultancy for high-value projects.
• Develop new business opportunities and nurture client relationships.
• Ensure delivery within timelines and budget; monitor quality across projects.
• Oversee resource planning and staff training; mentor QS team.
• Deputize for the Director in management and development of the office.
• Lead tendering processes, pre/post-contract activities and cost controls.
• Maintain standards and adapt to project pressures and tight deadlines.
• Foster inter-team collaboration with Cost Advisory and other divisions.
• Interview and recommend permanent/contract resources as directed.
• Champion continuous improvement through staff feedback and best practices.
