Job summary

DARA PEOPLE LTD. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for mission-critical data centre projects in Singapore.

The role focuses on technical ownership of mechanical design and assurance across the project lifecycle, with emphasis on cooling, infrastructure and high-reliability environments. Direct data-centre experience is preferred but not essential; strong candidates from semiconductor, pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing are also considered.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering experience designing, reviewing or assuring HVAC and cooling systems.
• Experience in high-reliability facilities or data centre environments.
• Ability to interrogate designs and communicate practical solutions.
• Excellent coordination with consultants, contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical review and assurance of mechanical design across the project lifecycle.
• Provide detailed input into cooling and mechanical systems.
• Review and challenge designs for technical quality, resilience, cost and schedule.
• Develop and maintain mechanical standards, specs and guidelines.
• Lead mechanical QA/QC and multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Resolve technical and coordination issues with consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, buildability, and long-term performance.
• Support construction, commissioning, defect resolution, handover and close-out.
• Provide clear technical direction during design and coordination meetings.
