Job summary

SLNG in Singapore seeks a Lead Process Control Engineer with extensive FEED and EPC experience in oil, gas and LNG projects to join the Technical and Project Development Group.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead process control, instrumentation, automation and functional safety engineering across all project phases, ensuring safe, reliable and maintainable control system solutions for LNG terminal facilities.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or LNG
• At least 5 consecutive years as Lead Process Control, Instrumentation or Automation Engineer
• End-to-end FEED/EPC experience on two projects
• Experience with live-plant interfaces, control system migration and commissioning
• Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, DCS, SIS/ESD, PLC, SCADA and interfaces
• Experience in cybersecurity and OT/IT coordination

Responsibilities

• Act as Process Control focal point within SLNG project management team
• Define Process Control strategy, scope of work and technical requirements
• Lead design of instrumentation and control systems (DCS, SIS/ESD, PLC, SCADA)
• Develop control philosophies, alarm management and interlock narratives
• Provide input to HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA/SIL and cybersecurity reviews
• Ensure functional safety lifecycle requirements are defined and followed
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to manage interfaces and approvals
• Provide field engineering support during construction, commissioning and start-up
• Validate engineering data, deliverables and vendor dossiers
• Coach and guide project engineers and ensure QA compliance
