Job summary

SLNG - Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Process Engineer to provide process engineering support to Production Shift teams and own the process area within the LNG Terminal. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and efficiency of terminal operations, while driving continuous improvements across process systems.

The ideal candidate will have a chemical engineering background, 8+ years in process engineering (oil & gas or petrochemical), and experience in LNG or cryogenic plant

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of process safety principles and risk assessment methodologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex process systems in large-scale facilities.
• Experience working with LNG, natural gas, or cryogenic plants is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to ensure safe and efficient production performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in process safety, equipment reliability, energy optimisation, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues to enhance plant reliability and performance.
• Analyse plant performance indicators and conduct field data assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead energy efficiency and optimisation projects, including feasibility studies and implementation.
• Manage alarm rationalisation and optimisation efforts for a robust control system.
• Lead and participate in MOC processes for terminal modifications.
• Conduct process design and engineering analyses, including heat and mass balances, technology assessments, and equipment selection.
• Participate in safety reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, FMEA, RAM analyses, and design model reviews.
• Review and validate operational procedures and startup manuals to ensure alignment with design and safe operations.
• Lead investigations into equipment or system abnormalities, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support HSSE by reporting incidents and near misses.
