Optimum Solutions Singapore is seeking a Lead Java Solutions Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise applications for a leading banking organisation. The role focuses on robust backend development with Java/Spring Boot and driving CI/CD pipelines for seamless releases.

You will lead deployment planning across UAT and production, automate configuration tasks on Linux, and collaborate with infrastructure, QA, security, and production teams to maintain high availability and governance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Hands-on DevOps experience with Jenkins and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong Linux operations and shell scripting skills.

You'll drive the development and optimisation of deployment pipelines, ensuring seamless application releases and high operational standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Application Development: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable back‑end components using Java and Spring Boot.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Build, manage, and optimise Jenkins pipelines to drive automated build, testing, and continuous integration workflows.
• Deployment & Implementation: Plan and execute end‑to‑end application deployments across User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production environments.
• System Automation & ing: Administer environment configurations, troubleshooting, and automation tasks utilising Linux and advanced Shell ing.
• Workflow & File Transfer Integration: Manage job scheduling, batch processing, and securely leverage products like Control-M, Aldon, and Connect: Direct.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure, QA, security, and production support teams to ensure release governance, high availability, and operational stability.

What we need

• Experience: Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on application development and implementation support.
• Core Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• DevOps & Tooling: Proven hands‑on experience setting up and managing Jenkins and version‑controlled CI/CD workflows.
• OS & ing: Strong operational competence in Linux environments coupled with robust Shell ing capabilities.
• Enterprise Products: Practical knowledge and implementation experience with enterprise tools including Control-M, Aldon, and Connect: Direct.
