iotalents pte. ltd. is seeking a hands-on Java Developer to join a banking and wealth management tech team. You will develop and support both legacy monolithic apps and modern microservices with a focus on production stability, performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate is production-oriented, independent and accountable, with ownership of development, deployment and production support across the stack. Strong English communication and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java 17+ and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience in both monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with Maven and/or Gradle build tools.
• Experience with MariaDB and/or MySQL.
• Experience with Jenkins, Docker, and OpenShift (OCP).
• Strong production support and incident management experience.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Java 17+; Spring and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance scalable backend services across monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Work with Maven and Gradle build tools.
• Design and optimise database solutions using MariaDB/MySQL.
• Perform JVM and SQL performance tuning.
• Deploy and support applications via Jenkins; containerised deployments using Docker and OpenShift (OCP).
• Monitor logs, troubleshoot issues and resolve production incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-country teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Take ownership of assigned applications and provide technical guidance when required.
• Evaluate open-source frameworks with security, compliance, and operational risk in mind.

We are looking for a hands-on Java Developer to join a banking and wealth management technology team. The role involves developing and supporting both legacy monolithic applications and modern microservices, with a strong focus on production stability, performance, and reliability.

The ideal candidate is production-oriented, independent, and accountable, with the ability to own development, deployment, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using Java 17+, Spring and Spring Boot
• Build and enhance scalable backend services across monolithic and microservices architectures
• Work with Maven and Gradle build tools
• Design and optimise database solutions using MariaDB / MySQL
• Perform JVM and SQL performance tuning
• Deploy and support applications through: VM-based deployments using Jenkins; containerised deployments using Docker and OpenShift (OCP)
• Monitor application logs, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve production incidents
• Work with workflow engines such as Camunda / Activity / Activiti
• Collaborate with cross-country teams in an Agile / Scrum environment
• Take ownership of assigned applications and provide technical guidance when required
• Evaluate and use open-source frameworks with consideration for security, compliance and operational risks
• Ensure data integrity, security and reliability in financial transaction systems

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot
