Job summary

ANTAS PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Software Consultant with 15+ years of Java and cloud-native experience to design, develop, and lead enterprise-grade applications for BFSI environments.

You will architect microservices on AWS, implement event-driven solutions with Kafka, and drive modernisation using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Terraform. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering or solution delivery.
• Strong hands-on Java 8/11/17/21 and Spring Boot experience.
• Extensive microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Proven AWS expertise: EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, S3.
• Experience with Kafka/MSK, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• Security and IAM/KMS/VPC considerations in cloud designs.
• CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit/Mockito.
• Knowledge of GCP services is a plus.
• BFSI domain experience preferred.
• Strong technical leadership and collaboration skills.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Software Consultant with 15+ years of experience in Java application development, cloud-native architecture, microservices, and enterprise software engineering, with strong exposure to banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and lead implementation of enterprise-grade Java applications and cloud-native solutions using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop scalable microservices, REST APIs and event-driven applications for high-volume BFSI workloads.
• Modernize legacy Java applications by migrating to Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3 and cloud-native architectures.
• Design and implement solutions on AWS, including EKS, ECS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and S3.
• Develop and integrate Kafka/MSK-based event-driven services and asynchronous processing solutions.
• Design secure cloud architectures using IAM, KMS, VPC, ALB, CloudWatch, WAF and other AWS security services.
• Develop automated deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins and Terraform.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS and ECS Fargate.
• Design application interfaces and integrations using REST APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
• Perform application performance tuning, scalability analysis, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Lead technical design, code reviews, architecture reviews, development standards and engineering best practices.
• Implement automated unit and integration testing using JUnit and Mockito, with code quality management using SonarQube.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, application owners and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support application modernization, cloud migration, production implementation and technical delivery for banking and financial services applications.
• Apply cloud and AI services, including AWS Bedrock, Textract, GCP Vertex AI and Document AI, where applicable to enterprise automation and data-processing solutions.

Technical Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, technical consulting or solution delivery.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8/11/17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience in microservices architecture, REST APIs, event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong AWS experience covering EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3 and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Kafka/MSK, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Security, Spring Data/Hibernate, Spring Batch, Maven and Gradle.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit and Mockito.
• Knowledge of GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery and Vertex AI is an advantage.
• Strong experience in BFSI domains, including core banking, payments, cards, KYC/AML, IAM/MFA, insurance, reconciliation and regulatory reporting.
• Strong technical leadership, architecture, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
