Job summary

Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is seeking an Engineer to support the planning, implementation, operation, and enhancement of ICT and security systems for Home Team departments. You will work closely with senior engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and secure ICT solutions that support operational needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Prefer 1–3 years in enterprise networking and cybersecurity, cloud platforms, data centre infra, or systems operations.
• Basic understanding of IT project delivery, business analysis, or system implementation.
• Exposure to government ICT environments and policies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design, implementation, and operation of ICT and security systems to ensure continuous service delivery.
• Monitor system performance, investigate incidents, perform troubleshooting, and assist in resolving issues to maintain availability and security.
• Assist in project coordination to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Support evaluation, testing, and deployment of products and services including government procurement activities.
• Collaborate with HTX units and vendors to analyse system behaviour, identify root causes, and resolve technical issues.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements; assist feasibility studies and solution assessments; support discussions on designs and integration.
