Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to lead the design, development and delivery of high-impact products from concept to production. You will modernise existing applications, build frontend with Vue 3 and TypeScript, and develop backend services using AWS serverless tech.

You will design cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK, model data in DynamoDB and SQL databases, and mentor peers to raise engineering quality.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers.
Experience in full-stack software development.
Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
Experience with Vue 3 or React/Angular.
Experience building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
Hands-on production experience with AWS CDK.
Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB.
Experience designing and working with SQL databases.
Good understanding of relational data modelling, indexing, joins, transactions and query optimization.
Good understanding of serverless and event-driven architecture.
Experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, Step Functions, IAM and CloudWatch.
Understanding of REST APIs, authentication and authorisation.
Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and production deployments.
Ability to make sound architectural decisions and clearly communicate technical trade-offs.
Experience reviewing code and guiding other engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development and delivery of high-impact products from concept to production.

Develop backend services and APIs using AWS serverless technologies.
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK.
Design scalable data models using DynamoDB and SQL databases.
Set technical standards and architecture principles for the team.
Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality through code reviews.
Improve system reliability, security, monitoring and performance.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable solutions.
