Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a senior software engineer to lead the design, development and delivery of high-impact products from concept to production, guiding architecture and technical decisions.

You will modernise existing applications, build frontend with Vue 3 and TypeScript, develop backend services on AWS serverless, model data with DynamoDB and SQL, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to turn real needs into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading technical projects, architecture decisions or mentoring engineers.
• Full-stack software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Experience with Vue 3 or another modern frontend framework, productive in Vue 3.
• Experience building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on production experience with AWS CDK.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB.
• Experience designing and working with SQL databases.
• Understanding of relational data modelling, indexing, joins, transactions and query optimisation.
• Understanding of serverless and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, IAM and CloudWatch.
• Understanding of REST APIs, authentication and authorisation.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and production deployments.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Experience reviewing code and guiding engineers.

• Raise engineering quality through code reviews, technical guidance and mentoring.
• Improve system reliability, security, monitoring and performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.
