Job summary

Manpower Singapore is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to design, develop and deliver high-impact products from concept to production. You will modernise existing applications to improve performance, reliability and long-term value, and build frontend applications using Vue 3 and TypeScript.

You will develop backend services with Node.js/TypeScript, design cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK, and model scalable DynamoDB/SQL data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.
• Experience with Vue 3 or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on AWS CDK, Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB experience.
• Experience designing relational databases and data models.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, authentication and authorisation.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.

Job description

What You Will Lead

• Lead the design, development and delivery of high-impact products and features from concept to production.
• Modernise and strengthen existing applications to improve their performance, reliability and long-term value.
• Build frontend applications using Vue 3 and TypeScript.
• Develop backend services and APIs using AWS serverless technologies.
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK.
• Design scalable data models using DynamoDB and SQL databases.
• Define technical standards, development practices and architecture principles that enable the team to build with confidence.
• Raise engineering quality through thoughtful code reviews, technical guidance and mentoring.
• Improve system reliability, security, monitoring and performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to turn real operational needs into effective, scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects, making architectural decisions or mentoring engineers.
• experience with Vue 3 or another modern frontend framework such as React or Angular, with the ability to become productive in Vue 3.
• Experience building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on production experience with AWS CDK.
• experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB.
• experience designing and working with SQL databases.
• Good understanding of relational data modelling, indexing, joins, transactions and query optimisation.
• Good understanding of serverless and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, IAM and CloudWatch.
• understanding of REST APIs, authentication and authorisation.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and production deployments.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions and clearly communicate technical trade-offs.
• Experience reviewing code and guiding other engineers.

Experience

• Hands-on experience with Vue 3 and the Composition API.
• Experience designing DynamoDB access patterns and secondary indexes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or Amazon Aurora.
• Experience implementing database migrations and schema changes.
• Experience implementing reliable asynchronous workflows, retries and idempotency.
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright.
• Experience integrating third-party or enterprise systems.
• Experience with AWS Cognito or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience using Codex or similar AI-assisted development tools.
