Job summary

Dyson GmbH in Singapore seeks an experienced CFD Engineer to own fluids and thermodynamics disciplines for product development. You will lead computational fluid dynamics modeling, mentor the team, and ensure simulations align with test methodologies and project milestones.

The role requires 5 years in mechanical product analysis, strong CFD skills (Fluent/OpenFOAM; ANSA), and knowledge of flow measurement techniques such as PIV. Based in Singapore with a global project scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Aerospace/Automotive/Mechanical engineering or equivalent; Master preferred.
• 5 years in mechanical product analysis and development, preferably in consumer electrical appliances.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a learning mindset.
• Deep knowledge in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Experience with flow measurement techniques (PIV, shadowgraphy, pressure transducers).
• Strong CFD fundamentals and practical application.
• Advanced CFD tools: Fluent/OpenFOAM; ANSA meshing.
• Experience with measurement hardware and data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver high-quality CFD models to guide design iterations.
• Mentor the team on CFD approaches to ensure accurate simulations.
• Verify fluids performance with established test methods and develop new tests.
• Lead the fluids and thermodynamics disciplines for assigned projects.
• Deliver high-quality output within project timelines and milestones.
• Own relevant requirements and sign off on critical milestones.
• Develop robust solutions to varying engineering challenges.
• Regularly update the project delivery team on progress and risks.
