Job summary

PhysicsX is building its Singapore presence and seeks a CFD Engineer (Delivery) to work directly with customers on-site, building CAE models that inform AI-driven engineering decisions.

You will apply fluid mechanics, heat transfer and multiphase modelling to develop CFD simulations for moderately complex cases, with guidance from senior colleagues. Occasional international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Growing foundation in fluid mechanics, heat transfer and multiphase modelling; apply core engineering principles to real-world problems.
• 1–3 years of industry experience post-Masters or PhD in a commercial environment.
• Experience with CFD model setups and interpreting results; exposure to Python/Java is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build models from geometry clean-up and meshing through to simulating and post-processing for simple to moderately complex cases, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Adapt and use parametric CAD models (NX or CATIA) and contribute to simulation pipeline automation for design optimisation and DoE studies.
• Support customer-facing work by preparing and presenting results under senior guidance, aiming for independent delivery.
• Work at the intersection of CAE and Data Science to generate simulation datasets for ML/Deep Learning models and understand data sampling effects on accuracy and cost.
• Use Flux (cloud) and on-prem HPC resources to run simulations, applying smarter meshing and setup choices to improve performance.
• Learn and apply engineering best practices, adapting CFD setups for Deep Learning surrogate development.
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Simulation Engineering guild; help onboard newer engineers.
• Occasional travel (Europe, Asia, Oceania) to support customer engagements.
