Job summary
Dyson Inc. in Singapore is seeking an Equipment Engineer to sustain and improve automated production equipment at Pioneer Crescent, driving reliability, process capability and efficiency. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality and Process Development to optimise output and reduce downtime.
You will lead troubleshooting, ramp-up activities and preventative maintenance, and coach technicians while ensuring safety, quality and compliance in a fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics Eng.
- Minimum 5 years’ automation experience with PLC programming or equipment support.
- Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and robotic systems.
- Knowledge of PLC and vision systems (Omron/Siemens/Keyence) and basic statistics/TPM.
- Able to produce clear technical reports and downtime summaries.
Responsibilities
- Own equipment performance and reliability to meet SQDC goals.
- Drive OEE, yield, cycle time and manufacturing efficiency improvements.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support installation, qualification, commissioning and ramp-up.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and manage spares.
- Coach technicians on operation, maintenance and safety.
