Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Lead Engineer (Operations) to plan and supervise plant processes at Ulu Pandan and Tuas Water Reclamation Plants. Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Graduate with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to work in used water treatment environment and perform site works.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement operational activities to ensure plant processes and equipment meet design capacity.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on water quality control, lab work, load dispatch and plant shutdowns.
• Analyze water quality data and propose changes to optimize water quality and plant performance.
• Prepare, coordinate and present monthly water quality and performance reports.
• Oversee liquids and solids operations at Ulu Pandan WRP to ensure reliability and quality.
• Engage contractors for troubleshooting and maintenance to optimise operations and safety.
• Budget planning and management for OPEX and CAPEX; monitor monthly expenditures.
• Develop and implement plant-improvement projects for safety, energy efficiency, productivity.
• Ensure safety compliance: NTW/PTW permits, toolbox talks, RA/SWP reviews.
• Lead and participate in ISO, IAP and EAP audits and follow up on findings.
