Job summary

exyte singapore pte. ltd. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design of complex life sciences systems, guiding the project from programming through conceptual design and towards cost-effective execution.

You will review designs for compliance, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with clients and the Head of Department to ensure timely delivery and accurate budgets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 10 years of design experience in life sciences projects.

Responsibilities

• Production of the design of all mechanical systems and determining the associated construction budget cost during the programming and conceptual design phases, for large / complex projects
• Determining and defining sustainability targets
• Review of the design of mechanical systems, produced by other team members, for technical compliance with specified and contracted client / customer requirements
• Review of all mechanical tender documentation
• Implementing the design checklist and tracking progress
• Arranging internal design reviews with the support of the HOD
• Representing the Mechanical Team in monthly Client Meetings
• Compiling lessons learned and briefing HOD on same
• Formulating any necessary recovery plans relating to Design, Cost & Schedule
• Mentoring of the Senior Engineers or Engineer with the intent of securing properly trained personnel to ensure the continual expansion of the company.
