Job summary

infratrak pte. ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical inputs for client RFPs and oversee high-level design for HV/MV/LV systems, ensuring solutions are holistic and compliant.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Procurement to evaluate options, and mentor the Design & Engineering team in a fast-paced environment. The role requires Chartered Engineer or Licensed Professional Engineer credentials, and extensive Data Center sector experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: minimum 10 years in engineering, with at least 6 years in the Data Center sector.
• Certifications: Chartered Engineer or Licensed Professional Engineer (e.g., CIBSE, PEB Singapore, HKIE) required; Uptime Accredited Tier Designer or TIA designer desirable.
• Technical Skills: power system architecture, substation design, UPS and battery systems, onsite power generation, and telecom protocols.
• Knowledge: understand needs of other trades and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical input for client RFP responses; collaborate with Sales to design, cost, and defend technical solutions.
• Lead and coordinate other trades to ensure holistic and complete proposed solutions.
• Oversee high-level design for HV/MV/LV systems, perform calculations for copper losses, arc flash, harmonics, and battery runtimes.
• Negotiate with end-users, operators, and authorities to develop viable engineering solutions for siting and project delivery.
• Provide technical oversight to the Delivery team and troubleshoot electrical site issues.
• Develop and manage electrical standards and best practices; ensure global compliance with standards like Uptime and TIA.
• Partner with Product and Procurement for technical evaluations and strategic product selection.
• Manage and support development of the Design & Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering (30%):Lead the electrical engineering input for client RFP responses; collaborate with the Sales team to design, cost, and defend technical solutions that meet specific client requirements.Lead and coordinateother trades and to ensure thatthe proposed solution is holistic and complete.

• Technical Design & Calculation (15%):Oversee high-level design for HV/MV/LV systems, power generation, and storage; perform and review critical calculations including copper losses,arcflash, harmonics, and battery runtimes.Ensure that other disciplineselectrical requirements are captured, real and reasonable.

• Stakeholder Consultation & Negotiation (15%):Negotiate with end-users, operators, and local governing bodies to developviableengineering solutions for siteselectionand project delivery.

• Operational Support & Troubleshooting (10%):Provide technical oversight to the Delivery team; diagnose and implement effective solutions for electrical site issues, ensuring resilience against manual errors or control failures.

• Standards & Quality Governance (10%):Develop and manage company-wide electrical standards and best practices; ensure global compliance with international standards (e.g., Uptime, TIA).

• Product & Procurement Support (10%):Partner with the Product and Procurement teams to perform technical evaluations andassistin strategic product selection.

• Team Development (10%):Manageandassistin the professional development ofthe Design & Engineering teamengineers, technicians,draftersand other team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeringrequired;Master’sdegree preferred.
