Pre-Sales& Solution Design(30%):Lead the mechanical engineering input for client RFP responses; collaborate with the Sales team to design and defend technical solutions that integrate internal and supplier products.Lead and coordinate other trades and to ensure that the proposed solution is holistic and complete.Actively pursue,incorporateandassistother departments & in other disciplines, and resolve interdependencies.
Technical Design & Engineering(15%):Oversee high-level design for complex datacenter systems, including water/air-cooled chillers, cooling distribution units (CDU), and specialized fire suppression; perform and review critical calculations for PUE, WUE, and thermal storage.Ensure that other disciplines cooling, water,ventilationand other mechanicalrequirements are captured, real and reasonable.
Stakeholder Consultation & Negotiation(15%):Negotiate with end-users, operators, and local governing bodies to develop engineering solutions for site selection and project development.
Project Oversight & Troubleshooting(10%):Provide technical support to the Delivery team; diagnose and implement effective solutions for mechanical issues encountered on-site during construction and commissioning.
Standards & Quality Governance(10%):Develop and maintain company standards and best practices; ensure all mechanical solutions comply within international standards (e.g., Uptime, TIA) and regional regulations.
Product & Procurement Support(10%):Partner with the Product and Procurement teams to evaluate vendors and assist in technical product selection.
Team Development (10%):Manage and assist in the professional development of the Design & Engineering team engineers, technicians, drafters, and other team members.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of work experience in engineering, with at least 6 years specifically in the DataCenter sector.
Certifications/Licenses: Chartered Engineer or Licensed Professional Engineer (e.g., CIBSE, PEB Singapore, HKIE) is required. Uptime Accredited Tier Designer or TIA Certified Designer is highly desired.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC design especially datacentre systems, P&D/FS systems, and control parameter tuning (PID); expert understanding of constructability, testing, and commissioning processes; operations and maintenance requirements.
Knowledge: Have a reasonable technical and operational understanding of the needs and requirements of other trades and disciplines.

Languages: Written and oral fluency in English is required; fluency in Chinese is highly desirable to facilitate regional expansion. Additional language proficiencies is also desirable.
