Job summary

Seatrium is seeking a proactive Low Voltage Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore shipyard’s Engineering Department. You will design, review, and coordinate LV electrical systems for marine vessels and offshore structures, guiding junior engineers and supporting operations and commercial teams.

You will ensure compliance with ABS, DNV, Lloyd's and IEC standards, prepare drawings and specifications, and assist in FAT/SAT/commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical/marine engineering.
• 3–5 years of LV electrical engineering experience.
• Familiarity with shipyard operations and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed engineering design and drawings for low voltage systems.
• Supervise and guide subordinates to ensure design quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Plan, organise and manage engineering activities as Lead Engineer when appointed.
• Prepare and maintain drawings, cable schedules, load lists, and single-line diagrams.
• Prepare purchase specifications for electrical equipment and materials; support procurement and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with production teams, subcontractors and vendors during construction and outfitting to ensure accurate implementation.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with marine classification societies (ABS, DNV, Lloyd's), IEC standards and Singapore regulations.
