Job summary

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd seeks a Mechanical Technician-Diesel Engines & Repairs in Tuas. You will lead a team for rectifications of engine systems onboard ships, conduct acceptance tests, troubleshoot defects, and perform repairs and maintenance on vessels or in workshops.

Working hours are 7:45am-5pm, five days a week, with overtime as needed and transportation reimbursed. Candidates should have an NTC/Higher NTC in Mechanical/Marine/Automotive fields and 1-2 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Possess basic understanding of mechanical engines or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team for rectifications of Engine’s system / Equipment onboard ships.
• Deliver job defects.
• Conduct Acceptance tests / trials of overhauled and/or repaired equipment.
• Troubleshoot defects on mechanical systems / equipment onboard ships.
• Carry out general repair and maintenance jobs onboard vessels or in workshops.
• Dismantle and troubleshoot mechanical defects.
• Repair or replace mechanical spare parts.
• Perform alignment checks and reassemble mechanical parts.
• Test equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Report job completion status to supervisor.
