Job summary

Elemynt is seeking a principal data/AI engineer to own the data and AI foundation that powers our scientific computing platform. You will define core patterns for data modeling, training pipelines, evaluation systems, and intelligent workflow interfaces, then implement them in production code.

This hands-on leadership role requires setting technical direction while building the hardest parts of the system yourself, across Singapore or the United States, with on-site or hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• 10+ years building and shipping production software.
• Expert Python and a strong record of shipping systems end to end.
• Deep experience with large-scale data systems and production data pipelines.
• Hands-on data pipelines for model training, fine tuning, evaluation, and improvement.
• Experience training or fine tuning models for structured outputs and automation.
• Strong understanding of relational, document, and columnar data models.
• Comfort operating in cloud and enterprise compute environments with distributed training.

Responsibilities

• Architect data foundation for large-scale scientific output, ensuring clean, queryable datasets.
• Model domain-specific data to support analysis, automation, and ML workflows.
• Build scalable data processing across storage, analytics, and training formats.
• Create ML data pipelines for curation, deduplication, and evaluation sets.
• Build and operate training and fine-tuning pipelines for models used in products.
• Develop intelligent workflow interfaces linking user intent with executable workflows.
• Own model evaluation, benchmarking, and quality tracking for iterative improvement.
• Set data and AI engineering standards and codify them into code and docs.
