Job summary

FUNDA in Singapore is seeking an experienced Core Engineer to build a data platform from 0 to 1, covering ingestion, parsing, warehousing, and LLM-enabled features. You will own the end-to-end data stack and collaborate directly with the founding team to ship production-ready capabilities for investment research.

The role requires 5–10 years of production software engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, and a track record of deploying data systems at early-stage AI startups.

Qualifications

• Experience building end-to-end data platforms with ingestion, parsing, warehousing, and APIs.
• Proven ability to own data pipelines and production systems in a startup context.
• Strong communication with research and founding teams in English.

Responsibilities

• Data Ingestion: build and maintain multi-source pipelines, production scheduling.
• Document Parsing: extract structured data from PDF/HTML/XBRL and multilingual text.
• Data Warehouse Design: schema-based tables, modern cloud warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines.
• LLM Application Engineering: integrate OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, RAG, and FastAPI endpoints.
