Job summary

TUAS POT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Cook to join our kitchen team in Singapore. The role focuses on food preparation, cooking, maintaining quality and hygiene, and supporting daily kitchen operations.

You will prepare and cook Indian/local cuisine, supervise junior staff, ensure consistency in taste and presentation, and uphold food safety standards in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant cooking experience.
• Experience in a food court, restaurant, catering kitchen or central kitchen preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and kitchen hygiene.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and company standards.
• Handle Indian and/or local cuisine preparation, depending on the kitchen section.
• Ensure food is prepared with consistent taste, quality and presentation.
• Supervise and guide junior cooks and kitchen helpers.
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
• Manage food preparation and cooking during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and equipment.
• Ensure proper food storage and minimise food wastage.
• Follow SFA food safety and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with stock checking and inform the supervisor of ingredient shortages.
• Support catering orders and large-volume food preparation when required.
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the Supervisor or Operations Manager.
